The line 28 train in Lisbon, Portugal is a well-preserved historical line which still serves as public transpotation today. One sees these cute little cars popping their heads out all over the city, and the need to hop on for a few stops becomes urgent. It's good to see traditions such as this being preserved for all to experience.

Hallgrímskirkja

This church stands on top of the hill in Reykjavik, and the architecture seems to reflect the attitude of the Iclandic people. On my 3rd trip to Iceland, this was the first time I'd been in Reykjavik while the curch was not covered in scaffolding. It was a good oppotunity to finally take some pictures of this impressive and unusual structure.

Cathedral Ceiling

An unusual perspective on this ornate manueline ceiling in the church of Jeronimos Monastery. The intricacy used in the manueline style can be quite overwhelming, but the longer one stares at the architecture, the more small details emerge.

Shark in the water!

I usually don't set my camera iso to 1600, the maximum iso it has. Everyone tells you that pictures are way to noisy and unusable at maximum iso. While in the aquarium in lisbon, portugal, I had to make a choice between taking blurry pictures (or no pictures at all), or cranking up my iso and dealing with a litle noise. I'm glad I chose the latter. Afterall, how often does one have the chance to photograph sharks from this angle and distance?
