Get it while its hot!

We walked on the Leirhnjúkshraun lava flow near the Krafla geothermal area by Mývatn. This area erupted in 1985, leaving a large expanse of very rough lava flows, cones, and craters. The area is still cooling, and some spots are still steaming. The first picture is developed in black and white, the second in color.
